North Woodside is located in Silver Spring, Maryland, just north of the downtown business district and less than a mile from Washington D.C. The neighborhood is roughly bordered by Georgia Avenue, Sixteenth Street, and Seminary Road.

North Woodside is primarily a residential neighborhood with the majority of homes being built in the 1920s & 30s. The tree lined streets are filled with charming bungalows with large front porches, traditional colonials, and some of the neighborhood's earlier homes are Victorian styled.
